Welcome to La Grande Orange, an exquisite culinary oasis nestled within the bustling confines of Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport. This charming eatery transcends the typical airport dining experience, offering travelers not only a meal but a moment of respite from the hectic pace of air travel.
At La Grande Orange, the menu showcases a delightful mix of dishes, but it's their pizza that frequently garners rave reviews. Customers can't help but rave about the crust, which strikes the perfect balance between crispness and chewiness. Frequent visitors, like Lyliane Couture, express a yearning for their unique margarita pizza, made without tomato sauce, proving that La Grande Orange knows how to redefine classic flavors.
The ambience here is another highlight. Reviewers like Jim Leggett describe it as a haven for weary travelers, complete with a relaxed jazz soundtrack, making it an ideal spot to unwind. Travelers can enjoy a full kitchen and a bar that serves superb coffee—an essential pick-me-up for anyone on a layover. Leggett also mentions the delightful Ethiopian brew and the tantalizing blackberry scone, which elevate the experience.
Service at La Grande Orange stands out, with staff often praised for their hospitality, as noted by Ben Shaw who remarked on the helpfulness of their team. Whether you opt for a classic tuna melt or the ever-popular bbq bacon burger, it’s a place where the friendly atmosphere and attentive service make all the difference.
Of course, dining within an airport comes with its challenges, notably regarding pricing and space. While some diners have noted the tight dining room and higher fees, many agree that the quality of food and the inviting environment justify the cost. After all, finding a gem like La Grande Orange amidst the typical airport fare is a rare find.
In summary, La Grande Orange is not just another airport restaurant; it is a culinary destination that manages to blend quality food with an inviting atmosphere and stellar service. Whether you're on a quick layover or embarking on a new adventure, making a stop here is an experience you won't want to miss.

Rose was extremely kind and helpful! The guac was very good and we also really enjoyed the Mini Old Timers. Would definitely come back

My favorite airport pizza. Margarita pizza without tomato sauce. Not too slow either. I’m in Sacramento wishing my connection was in PHX.

Pizza is out of this world! The crust is excellent! The tuna melt is also quite tasty, if that’s your thing. The servers are really nice too. Heads up, the pizza will take a bit to be ready, but it is well worth it. Cheers!

This is a haven for weary travelers. The ambience in this place is fantastic, and the food, despite the high airport prices, is excellent. Atmosphere is that of a very casual deli/market. Their is a bar and full kitchen, but the relaxed jazz and great coffee make it a great place to relax between flights. Phoenix is a major airport for connecting flights, and this place made my 2 hour layover feel like a nice extended lunch break. Their coffee was SUPERB! Picture included of the wonderful Ethiopian brew. I had a blackberry scone while my family enjoyed the bbq bacon burgers. The food was really a notch above most travelling fare. The customer service was great! The prices were steep, but the environment and service almost made up for the price tag. Bbq bacon burger is 14 each, comes with fries. Salads are 12. The coffee and some was reasonably priced, however, at only 2.25 for a small bottomless coffee (16 oz) and 3.40 for an oversized scone, I would say it was a good deal. I expect to pay higher prices for meals at airports, but they went the extra mile on making this a great place to relax, especially for the frequent flyer.

Great pizza! Crust is incredibly crisp while also being just the right amount of chewy. Very fast. Airport prices.

1st time there and ready for dinner. Great concept with the to go store and restaurant. Food was good but dining room is tight. They packed the tables in. The store had pastries, ice cream and fun stuff. The pastries were really good! The parking is tough. Small lot with cars waiting for a spot on a weekday dinner time

Most of their salads are ready-made. They get five stars because they allowed me to actually order a shad and tweak the toppings. I'm not a blue cheese or tomato fan and I ordered without. Got my salad very quickly and, considering at an airport, not a bad price. I'll be back.

Not sure why this place has such a low rating. I think this is the best place to grab breakfast at sky harbor. Usually the food is very mediocre at breakfast spots but this is actually pretty good. Quick food and pretty good coffee as well. We would definitely come back. Also their bar is awesome, they have a hilarious bartender that works there if you can catch him.
